In celebration of World Art Day, CCF honors Gallery 100 at the Silver Maples of Chelsea Retirement Neighborhood. They received a $5,000 grant to support increased awareness of the Gallery 100 space and art-related activities within the senior living center. Currently, Gallery 100 has artwork from the Saline Painters Guild on display. The exhibit runs from March 5th to April 28th, 2024. Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 3 pm. The Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative received a $25,000 grant for improvements at Timber Town Park to connect Chelsea residents to the Border To Border Trail (B2B). The B2B Trail is a 35-mile, 10-foot-wide, ADA-accessible paved pathway. These grants have assisted the center in various ways, including events centered around cultural diversity, emergency well drilling, and support during COVID-19. St. Louis Center received a $10,000 grant that will provide partial funding for monthly events centered around cultural diversity and provide community members, residents, and staff opportunities to learn about the different cultures represented in the Chelsea Community. St. Louis Center plans for twelve-monthly programs as part of an outreach effort that will include inviting Chelsea residents to the campus to learn and have fun with the residents and staff.
