Today is World Kindness Day, and in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late." Through a grant partially funded by the Chelsea Community Foundation, St. Louis Center has launched new projects to bring cultural awareness programs to the Center and its surrounding communities. These free classes and events are being held to help educate the residents, staff, and community on cultural diversity issues facing the world. So far in this series, they’ve explored Natural Hair Care, Latino Culture, Healthy Cooking Techniques, and Introduction to American Sign Language. The next session is an Introduction to Tai Chi class, sponsored by the St. Louis Center at the Chelsea Wellness Center.
